Hello everyone,

This is Open Studios weekend for the Mid City Artists, and I'll be opening up my space and soul for all to see. More info below.

This past spring my work found its way into several exhibits in Los Angeles. Coming up in June is a show at Roq la Rue in Seattle, and I'm excited to be exhibiting up to 25 pieces at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in LA in December.

Hope to see you this weekend.

May 2006

Open Studio: Saturday & Sunday, May 20 & 21, from 12 to 5

Several new pieces will be available. Paintings, drawings, children's book originals, sculptures, and sketches will be on display and for sale.

My studio is located at:
2101 New Hampshire Avenue NW, Apt 612

Call 202-387-8348 for information.

Over 30 artists will open their studios for visitors this weekend. Most are a short distance of each other and close to Dupont Circle, Logan, and U Street. You are encouraged to snoop through our workspaces and get a great deal on new and original art. There are many new shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, too, and this is a great opportunity to see what's happening down here.

On the West Coast: La Luz de Jesus, Roq la Rue, and Engendered Species

My work has been in several exhibits in California this year. These three pieces were in "Everything But the Kitschen Sync" at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles.

I'm happy to announce that I have been invited back in December to show up to 25 new paintings and drawings. The opening reception is December 1st.

Next month, I'll have several pieces in "Fresh Meat" at Roq la Rue in Seattle. The opening reception is June 9th. Kirstin Anderson, the gallery owner, is one of the leading voices in the Pop Surrealism movement, and it will be an honor to be exhibiting my work there as well.

So mark your calendars and reserve those airline tickets.

Also in LA, "The Reincarnation of Miss Rita Fyne" was part of the "Engendered Species" exhibit, first at the Gatov Gallery in Long Beach and then traveling to the Gay and Lesbian Center in LA. It was nice see Rita's pretty face featured prominently on their website.

Artomatic 2006 Is On!
