Scott G Brooks is a figurative artist based in Baltimore. Inspired by the people around him, as well as historical and religious events, he creates work that is often surreal, ranging from portraiture to complex narratives. Social, psychological, and political issues are incorporated to create work caught between the past and the present. His work is described as uncompromising, twisted, offbeat, sentimental, and disturbing. Scott has a BFA from the University of Michigan and resided in Washington, DC before moving to Baltimore in 2016. His work is exhibited across the United States and abroad, including the United Kingdom, Italy, and Australia.
