Hello everyone,

Since there's so much going on this fall, it seemed like a great time to bring back my official newsletter. It started last month when Polaroid asked me and 49 other artists to create work using their new printer for the "Made in Polaroid" exhibit. All the art was auctioned off to benefit Free Arts NYC. The event was amazing, and my piece "Nativity 2.0" (right) got a great new home.

Keep reading for all the info on current and upcoming shows and events. For breaking news, follow me on Twitter and via my Facebook page.

Thanks!
Scott

Upcoming Show at Last Rites Gallery in NYC

On December 3, please join me and Fred Harper at Last Rites Gallery in NYC for the opening of our two-person show. I'll be debuting work from my new series, "The Luckiest Widow in the World and Other Tales of Misfortune." The new paintings are narratives with a darker side, inspired by the title piece. I'm excited to be returning to Last Rites Gallery for my second show. The art will be up until January 1.

Like a Prayer

Do you like your MTV and L.A.? Then you'd have loved the "I Want My Music Video Art Show" at Meltdown Gallery in Hollywood, CA. The show was created by Director Chris Marrs Piliero and curated by Dave MacDowell. I chose Madonna as my muse and created a painting inspired by her "Like a Prayer" video. Check it out here.

Metro Weekly

If you've been in DC recently, you may have seen my artwork on the cover of Metro Weekly. I illustrated their Fall Arts Preview issue and the cover story for their DOMA issue.

Duty Bound With a Fancy Coat
"Duty Bound With a Fancy Coat"

"La Luz de Jesus 25" is a monumental and historical exhibit this fall in Los Angeles. The two-part group show features 200+ artists, each of whom has contributed a piece of art and written an anecdote about their experience with the gallery. My painting, "Duty Bound with a Fancy Coat," is included in Part 1 of the show, which opened October 7. You can purchase the show's companion book that chronicles La Luz de Jesus and its contributions to the art movement over the past 25 years.

What's Cute and Creepy?

"The Bully" and "Founding Fathers"

Baby owls, triplets, talking Elmos? And an amazing art show in Tallahassee. I'm part of the "Cute and Creepy Exhibition" at the Museum of Fine Arts at Florida State University. If Disney World isn't cute and creepy enough, then get your fill at this show until November 20.
